Metro Moment - 2 - Metro's Letters page

I love the letters page in Metro, it gives people licence to say anything and they often do. However one of today's letters struck home:

"So David Littlewood (Metro, Tue) suggests applauding when a train arrives safely? It should be sufficient to applaud only if the train bothers to turn up." - Keith Martin London SW17

I do remember waiting for ages for a District Line train at Baron's Court and a man at the platform at the front gave a driver a sarcastic slow hand clap when it eventually arrived. Not suggesting we all do this, but it was very funny as the man and driver's face were both pictures.
