Today's Metro Momento

Reading this morning's Metro on the train, I've learnt that by the time it's taken you to read the above post (say a minute) 60 new blogs were created. That's 3,600 new ones in a lunch hour. Blimey! Check out Technorati from where the research comes from. Although, I was having dinner with a friend last night who had never heard of a blog, so perhaps today she'll be able to wax lyrical about the Metro feature.

I love the "scary" end of Metro's article which talks about bloggers getting fired for blogging (bearing in mind I think there's only been one person fired for this in the UK) and it says "Despite the dangers, Technorati's Dave Sifry believes the phenomenon will continue to grow."
