Geoff on the BBC World Service

Geoff speaking slowly - a new world record

I really, really know that you shouldn't laugh at people who are trying to learn English. It's not big, it's not clever, I know, I know. However, I've never heard Geoff speaking so slowly before in my life. The
BBC World Service recorded him talking about the tube challenge for people who are learning English and the interviewer has to explain some of the words before Geoff starts.

Re The London Underground - "Some are obsessed with it.....obsessed ......they can't stop thinking about it"

"Geoff said he had a kind of bug inside him meaning it became almost an obsession, something he felt he had to do."

"He also said he had a crack at it, an informal way of saying we had a go at it, we tried it."

"You'll also hear weirdo which is a very informal term for someone who is strange"

Enjoy! You need Real Player/Real Audio to hear it. Or if you don't have Real Player there is an MP3 on Geoff's site here. But sincerely, thanks to the BBC for featuring the Tube Relief and the fundraising behind it too.
